Mission

The QCC Counseling Services office is dedicated to promoting the emotional health and well being of the QCC Community.  Here at QCC, we recognize each student's individuality, diversity and their inherent ability to manage and solve their own life issues.

The mission of the office is to help students to achieve their personal and academic goals by providing assessment of current concerns, appropriate advocacy/support, information about resources or coping skills/tools and transition to local or college based resources when needed.  Counseling Services will provide short term, solution focused therapy, crisis intervention and stress management training.  The services are provided to students at no cost and are confidential.

The office also supports the QCC community awareness and management of student concerns by providing primary prevention interventions with campus supports such as Domestic Violence or suicide awareness.  Classroom and student club based trainings on a variety of mental health issues are available upon request; faculty and staff are welcome to contact the office with questions.
