This course provides students with an understanding of the field of transportation management, which is responsible for the movement of raw materials and finished products throughout the supply chain. The course explores the various modes of freight transportation, the economic fundamentals underlying each, and how each mode might fit into a company's overall logistics strategy. During the course, students are introduced to the many potential career opportunities available in transportation management. Prerequisite: ENG 096 with a grade of "C" or higher; or appropriate placement score, MAT 090 with a grade of "C" or higher; or appropriate placement score. S
