Clinical Internship for the Paramedic (MED 210 (UG22))

This course gives the student the opportunity to deliver optimum patient care at several clinical hospital sites, using a preceptor approach. Clinical rotations occur within the following departments: Intensive/Critical Care Unit, Emergency Department, Anesthesiology (Operating Room), Pediatric Emergency Department, Emergency Mental Health, Labor and Delivery, and other departments as needed. The student takes part in weekly simulation to meet accreditation standards as put forth in the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technician Paramedic Psychomotor Competency Portfolio requirements. Credits: 7 Prerequisite: MED 150, MED 160, MED 170, MED 180, MED 190 Semester Offered: F
