After another impressive season at the helm, John McLaughlin enters his 6th year as QCC’s Head Men’s Baseball Coach. After reaching the Region 21 finals in 2017, 2018, 2019 tournament, and a newly renovated field, Coach McLaughlin is looking to build on the legacy of QCC Baseball. John started at QCC as a batboy when his father John Thomas (Coach Stinky) was an assistant coach during the 1990’s into the early 2000s. Coach McLaughlin then began his college career at QCC, where the team won the 2003 MCCAC conference championship and was the last team to make it to the NJCAA World Series. He was then named a co-captain in 2004. John then moved onto play baseball at Worcester State University and won the 2005 MASCAC conference championship. After graduation from WSU with a Bachelors in Business Administration, he then began his coaching career at South High School and then since 2009 held the position as an assistant coach at Shrewsbury High School. During this time, he has also coached Shrewsbury AAU and Senior Ruth teams. John holds a full time position as a Sales Representative at Ballard Truck Center in Worcester. He lives in West Boylston with his beautiful fiancé’ Kim Branco, step son Dominic Gionet, and son John Thomas (JT).
