The College awards diplomas and certificates three times per year in May, August and December. There is only one College Commencement Ceremony per year which is held in May. 

Students are advised to submit an Intent to Graduate form once they have registered for the final courses to complete their degree or certificate requirements.  Please be aware it is the student’s responsibility to apply to graduate in a timely manner.  Once your application has been received and your file is reviewed, you will be contacted via email by the Registrar’s Office regarding your graduation status.  Be sure to check your Qmail student email account often. The deadline to file an Intent to Graduate form for May conferral is Friday April 23rd. Intent to Graduate forms received after this deadline will not be included in the Commencement Ceremony or Commencement Program book.

Students who will satisfy their requirements by the end of the spring semester and students who have graduated in August or December of the previous year will be invited to participate in the May Commencement Ceremony. Information regarding the Commencement Ceremony will be sent to graduates via their Qmail student email account mid-April.

Quinsigamond Community College honors students for their outstanding academic achievement.

  • Highest Honors : 3.6 or higher GPA
  • High Honors : 3.3 to 3.59 GPA
  • Honors : 3.0 to 3.29 GPA

The honors designation will be reflected on your academic transcript and in the commencement program.

Will Cap and Gowns be made available to graduates?

All August 2020, December 2020, and May 2021 graduates have received an email to their Qmail account with a link to order their caps, gowns and tassels at no additional cost. The deadline to order regalia is April 19, 2021. We are working on offering professional photography services on campus in early May, therefore we recommend graduates order their regalia by April 5, 2021 to have them in time. If I’m completing my program requirements in the Summer 2021 sessions can I participate in the May 2021 commencement ceremony?

 

Student’s completing their program requirement in the Summer sessions are considered August graduates. Unfortunately, potential August 2021 graduates will not be eligible to participate in this year’s virtual ceremony. August 2021 graduates will be invited to participate in the May 2022 commencement ceremony.

 

What GPA do I need to graduate with honors?

Highest Honors requires a cumulative GPA of 3.6 or higher, High Honors requires a GPA of 3.3 to 3.59 and Honors requires 3.0 to 3.29.  Please note that honor cords will not be distributed to qualifying individuals for the commencement ceremony, however the honors designation will be reflected in the commencement program and on your academic transcript.

 

My diploma or certificate has become lost or damaged.  How can I request a replacement?

Replacement diplomas and certificates can be requested by submitting a Replacement Degree or Certificate form to the Registrar’s Office along with a $25 replacement fee.
