Spring 2025 refund checks will be available starting in mid-March and are generated weekly. Funds will be disbursed to student accounts as they are received from the federal and state governments and eligibility is confirmed. Some funds may not disburse until later in the semester. Refund checks are created when the funds disbursed to the student's account exceed the tuition and fees charged. As of March 20th, QCC has not yet received Spring MASSGrant funds, many of the smaller state grant program funds, and is awaiting the second installment of MassEducate and MassReconnect funds.
The Summer Financial Aid Application will open in late March. A link will be posted here when it becomes available.
Have you heard about free community college through MassEducate and MassReconnect? Effective Fall 2024, eligible MA residents can apply for financial aid and receive grant funding to cover their tuition and required fees. Many students will also qualify for an allowance for books and supplies! The first step is to submit your FAFSA! Be sure you select the correct year for your FAFSA (use the 2024-2025 application for Fall 2024, Spring 2025, and Summer 2025). Enrolled student FAQs for these programs are available under Financial Aid Links.
File your 2024-2025 FAFSA - it is not too late! Once you have submitted your FAFSA, be sure to check your file on The Q. Please respond quickly to any requests for additional information.
The 2025-2026 FAFSA is now available! Complete this application for financial aid for the Fall 2025 semester. Please note that QCC will not begin processing 2025-2026 FAFSAs until late Spring/early Summer. You will be notified at that time if there is any additional information we need to determine your eligibility.
Free FAFSA appointments are available at the QCC Financial Aid Help Center and MassEdCO, if you need assistance.
