What's New?

Summer 2024 Financial Aid Applications are now available!  Please log into The Q and click the link to apply.

The 2024-2025 FAFSA is now available!  There are major changes to the application, so be sure to read the instructions carefully.  

  • QCC has extended our financial aid priority deadline to June 1, 2024 for students applying for the Fall 2024 semester.
  • QCC began to receive student FAFSAs from the US Department of Education in early April. QCC communications for missing information letters will begin in a few weeks.  Award letters will also be delayed.  We apologize for the inconvenience and will keep the community updated as we learn more.  

The 2023-2024 FAFSA is still available to complete to apply for Fall 2023, Spring 2024 & Summer 2024. The Financial Aid Office and MassEdCO both offer free appointments if you need assistance. 

MassReconnect is a program starting Fall 2023 to fund free community college for adults 25 and older who do not already have a college degree. Don't miss out on this unique opportunity!

Spring refund checks will begin being mailed at the end of February and then weekly thereafter. All refund checks are mailed to the address on file at The College.

iGrad is an award-winning financial literacy tool that is free for QCC students. It has financial education resources and an active community of members and users. Through articles, calculators, videos, and quizzes, you’ll learn how to improve your overall financial wellness. Sign up for an iGrad account today! 

Student loan repayment for students who are not in deferment is slated to resume in October – watch this video to ensure you're prepared!

Important Information About Your Financial Aid

  • Once the Financial Aid Office receives your missing documents, it can take up to three business days before The Q  is updated.

  • QCC has partnered with ProVerifier+ to assist with the verification process. If your FAFSA was selected for verification, you may receive an email with separate portal access including instructions on how to complete verification with ProVerifier+. Information requested within the ProVerifier+ portal must be returned through the ProVerifier+ portal (not to QCC directly).

    Students can agree to their Credit Balance Authorization electronically. When you login to The Q, a pop up appears and you can either “agree” or “disagree” to allow QCC to apply your financial aid to all charges on your bill. You can agree even if you do not currently have financial aid, but may in the future as this agreement is active for the duration of your enrollment at QCC.

 

Deadlines

Financial Aid:

QCC's priority filing deadline is April 1st for the FALL semester and October 1st for the SPRING semester.  All students must complete a FAFSA to apply.  We will continue to process applications received after these deadlines.

You will receive an Enrollment Verification email to your student email when your bill is ready to be viewed on The Q -  you will NOT receive a paper bill in the mail.  Your Course and Fee Statement available on The Q represents your bill. If you register after the bill due date payment is due upon registration.
 
If you receive an email and/or phone message that you are in danger of losing your classes please take this seriously and follow up with the Business Office.  If you have previously been advised that your classes have been saved this is no longer the case.  If we do cancel your classes you will receive an email notification to your student email account and a phone message both notifying you that your classes were dropped for non-payment.
 

Health Insurance Waiver

The Fall 2024 Health Insurance Waiver will be available on or about July 1, 2024.

Health Insurance Waivers for the 2023-2024 academic year are closed and students are no longer eligible to waive the charge.
 
If you waived the insurance in the Fall 2024 semester, the Spring 2025 charge will be removed from your account in early January 2025. Please do not complete the waiver again
 
You must be enrolled for courses before you complete the waiver. Make sure you are NOT logged into The Q before selecting the link.
