Credit for Prior Learning (CPL)

Career Services recognizes that you may be able to earn college credit for learning acquired through life experiences. Credit for Prior Learning provides opportunities to earn credit for learning acquired through life experiences; including work, the military and non-collegiate training programs.
 
Credit may be awarded through credentialing for certifications and trainings, such as the Fire Academy, EMT, and military for the award of credit.

Credit for Alternative Learning
  • Dependent upon faculty availability to teach the course
  • Not granted for electives, Science & Healthcare courses with a laboratory component or developmental courses
  • May not be used to raise a low grade
  • Are not granted if the same course is offered face-to-face and/or online in the same semester
